BULLIONS

  • Bullions counter may trade on firm path as gold prices held steady near a record high on Friday, as uncertainty surrounding the U.S. election, simmering Middle East tensions and a looser monetary policy environment boosted its appeal.
  • Overall gold (Dec) can move in range of 77300- 77700 while silver (Dec) also can move in range of 91500 -93500.
  • With less than three weeks remaining to cast votes this presidential election, Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican former President Donald Trump are stretching for the support of every last voter and looking beyond their bases.
  • U.S. economic data released overnight pointed to an economy on solid footing. But traders still see an 88% chance of a Federal Reserve rate cut in November, according to the CME Fedwatch tool.

BASE METALS

  • In base metal counter, Copper prices can trade on firm path as it can move in range of 810-825.
  • Aluminium prices can trade on positive path as it may move in range of 233-238.while lead may move in range of 180-184.
  • China’s aluminium production rose by 1.2 % to 3.65 million metric tons in September from a year earlier, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Friday. In the first nine months of the year, China produced 32.56 million metric tons, a rise of 4.6 % from the same period last year, the data showed.
  • Production of ten nonferrous metals – including copper, aluminium, lead, zinc and nickel – rose 2.2 % to 6.64 million metric tons from a year earlier. Year-to-date output was up 5.6 % at 58.74 million metric tons.

 ENERGY

  • Crude oil may trade on positive path as it can move in range of 5850-6050. Crude oil futures steadied on Friday after strong U.S. retail sales data, but Chinese economic indicators remained mixed and prices were headed for their biggest weekly loss in more than a month on concerns about demand.
  • Brent and WTI are set to fall about 6% this week, their biggest weekly decline since Sept. 2, after OPEC and the International Energy Agency cut their forecasts for global oil demand in 2024 and 2025 and concerns eased about a potential retaliatory attack by Israel on Iran that could disrupt Tehran’s oil exports.
  • Natural gas (Oct) may trade on mixed path as it can move in range of 192-205.
