BULLIONS

- Overall Gold (Dec) can move in range of 130000-134000 while silver can move in range of 167000-174000.
- SPDR Gold Trust, the world’s largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, said its holdings rose 1.18% to 1,034.62 tonnes on Thursday from 1,022.60 tonnes on Wednesday.
- The yellow metal has gained over 60% year-to-date, driven by geopolitical tensions, aggressive rate-cut bets, central bank buying, de-dollarisation and robust ETF inflows.
- Investors this week have stayed focused on the simmering U.S.-China trade spat, with Washington on Wednesday criticizing China’s expanded rare earth export controls as a threat to global supply chains.
BASE METALS
- In base metal counter, Copper (Oct) prices can trade on volatile path as it can move in range of 985-1000. The copper market faces an unprecedented period of transformation as multiple industries simultaneously increase their consumption requirements.
- Aluminum prices can trade on mixed path as it may move in range of 264-270.while Zinc may move on upside path as it may trade in range of 285-295. Aluminium prices have been on a steady upward path all year, hitting their highest level yet on the LME yesterday. While the EU pressures the US government to lift tariffs on steel derivatives, it simultaneously plans to impose new import duties on American products.
- LME warehouse stocks, which had temporarily risen, have now fallen below 500,000 tonnes. This level is alarmingly low, especially as nearly half of the remaining inventory consists of unsellable primary aluminium of sanctioned Russian origin.
ENERGY
- Crude oil may trade with lower path as it can move in range of 4900-5120. Oil prices fell more than 1% on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to meet in Hungary soon to discuss ending the war in Ukraine, casting uncertainty over global energy supplies.
- U.S. crude oil production rose to a record 13.636 million barrels per day (bpd) during the week ended October 10, according to data on Thursday from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) going back to 1983.
- Trump said he and Putin agreed on Thursday to meet in Budapest soon to discuss ending the war in Ukraine, one day before the U.S. president was due to speak with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
- Natural gas may move on subdued path as it can move in range of 250-260.
