Nifty Overview & Outlook

Benchmark Nifty index ended on a flat note at 24741 spot levels after a volatile trading session.

Broader markets performed in line with the benchmark as Mid and Small cap indices settled on a flat to positive note.

Performance on the sectoral front was mix. Amongst them, Auto index was at the top of the tally, gained over 1% followed by Media and Metal index that rose over 0.5% each. On the other hand, IT FMCG and Realty index dragged the benchmark lower, down over 1% each.

Technically, Nifty index is hovering in a range i.e. 25100-24450 spot levels and an either side break from this range is essential for next directional move in that direction. Hence, we suggest traders to maintain stocks specific trading approach for the time being.
