BASE METALS

  • In base metal counter, Copper prices can trade on weaker path as it can move in range of 872-887. Copper prices in London dropped more than 1.5% on Thursday, as sweeping reciprocal tariffs from U.S. President Donald Trump sparked concerns about global demand for metals.
  • Aluminum prices can trade on lower path as it may move in range of 237-245.while lead may also move in range of 176-179.
  • Trump introduced on Wednesday a minimum tariff of 10% on most goods imported to the United States.
  • The tariffs include significantly higher duties on products from dozens of countries, initiating a global trade war that could potentially increase inflation and hinder economic growth in the U.S. and globally.

 ENERGY

  • Crude oil may trade on negative path as it can move in range of 5950-6050. Oil prices dropped $2 on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump announced reciprocal tariffs on trading partners, stoking concerns that a global trade war may dampen demand for crude.
  • Trump touted April 2 as “Liberation Day,” bringing new duties that could overturn the global trade system.
  • Reinforcing bearish sentiment, Energy Information Administration data on Wednesday showed U.S. crude inventories rose by a surprisingly large 6.2 million barrels last week, against analysts’ forecasts for a decline of 2.1 million barrels.
