BULLIONS

  • Overall gold can move in range of 95500-96400 while silver also can move in range of 97400-98800.
  • Trump on Sunday backed off his threat to speed up 50% tariffs on imports from the European Union, agreeing to extend his deadline for trade talks until July 9 after the head of the EU executive body said the bloc needed more time to “reach a good deal.”
  • SPDR Gold Trust , the world’s largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, said its holdings fell 0.15% to 922.46 tons on Friday from 923.89 tons on Thursday.
  • Israeli military strikes killed at least 30 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, including a senior rescue service official and a journalist, local health authorities said.

BASE METALS

  • In base metal counter, Copper prices can trade on upside path as it can move in range of 864-872. Prices of metals in London rose on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump rescinded his threat of a 50% tariff on imports from the European Union starting June 1, buoying market sentiment.
  • Aluminum prices can trade on mixed path as it may move in range of 235-242.while lead may also move in range of 175-180.
  • On Sunday, Trump agreed to extend his deadline for trade talks until July 9 from the June 1 limit he set on Friday after European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the bloc needed more time to “reach a good deal”.

ENERGY

  • Crude oil may trade on upside path as it can move in range of 5200-5340. Oil prices gained in early Asian trade on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump extended a deadline for trade talks with the European Union, easing concerns about U.S. tariffs on the bloc that could hurt the global economy and fuel demand.
  • Natural gas may trade on upside path as it can move in range of 310-330.
  • Brent and WTI extended gains after settling 0.5% higher on Friday as limited progress in U.S.-Iran nuclear talks alleviated concerns of more Iranian oil returning to global markets and as U.S. buyers covered positions ahead of the three-day Memorial Day weekend.
