- Bullions counter may trade on negative path as gold prices were. Gold (Jun) can move in range of 152400-154000 while silver (May) can move in range of 242000-254000. Gold prices rose on Wednesday after hitting a one-week low in the previous session, helped by lower oil prices after the U.S. extended a ceasefire with Iran, easing fears of an inflation spike and higher-for-longer interest rates.
- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he would indefinitely extend the ceasefire with Iran, hours before it was set to expire. Trump’s announcement appeared to be unilateral, and it was not immediately clear whether Iran or the U.S. ally Israel would agree to extend the ceasefire, which began two weeks ago.
- Federal Reserve chief nominee Kevin Warsh said on Tuesday he had made no promises to Trump about cutting interest rates, as he tried to assure U.S. senators mulling his confirmation to lead the central bank that he would act independently of the White House while pursuing broad reforms.
BASE METALS

- Demand signals from China also remain encouraging; with the Yangshan copper premium surging to $74 per ton—up 270% since late January highlighting strong import appetite. At the same time, inventories on the Shanghai Futures Exchange dropped nearly 10%, indicating tightening near-term supply. The price movement comes after US President Donald Trump said he would indefinitely extend the ceasefire with Iran to allow more time for negotiations.
- Market sentiment remains fragile, with disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz continuing to weigh on supply outlook. The key waterway, which carries about 20% of global oil and LNG supplies, saw minimal activity, with only three ships passing in the last 24 hours.
- Iran has not officially responded to the ceasefire extension, though Tasnim News Agency said Tehran did not request it and reiterated its stance of resisting the blockade.
- Natural gas (Apr) may trade in narrow range as it can move in range of 245-260.
