- Overall gold (Apr) can move in range of 85600-86500 while silver (Mar) also can move in range of 96000-97500.
- Federal Reserve officials are taking note of what they see as rising inflation risks and the uncertain impact of Trump’s trade, immigration and other policies.
- Meanwhile, gold exports from Switzerland rose year-on-year in January as supplies to the U.S. soared to the highest in at least 13 years and offset lower deliveries to top consumers China and India, Swiss customs data showed on Thursday.
BASE METALS
- In base metal counter, Copper prices can trade on mixed path as it can move in range of 863-876. London copper eased on Friday, as the dollar strengthened and market participants were worried about metal demand after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened earlier this week to impose tariffs on cars and semiconductors chips.
- Aluminum prices can trade on volatile path as it may move in range of 257-268.while lead may also move in range of 177-183.
- Meanwhile, Chilean state-run Codelco and London-listed Anglo American signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly operate neighboring copper mines in central Chile.
- LME aluminum held firm at a three-month high, first hit on Thursday on EU envoys’ agreement to ban Russian primary aluminum imports in a fresh sanctions package.
ENERGY
- Crude oil may trade on mixed path as it can move in range of 6250-6340. Oil prices extended gains on Friday, headed for a weekly increase, as falling inventories of U.S. gasoline and distillate raised expectations of solid demand while concerns over supply disruptions in Russia lent support.
- U.S. crude oil stockpiles rose while gasoline and distillate inventories fell last week as seasonal maintenance at refineries led to lower processing, the Energy Information Administration said on Thursday.
- Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy earlier in the week was enraged by U.S. and Russian moves to negotiate a peace deal without Kyiv and comments by U.S. President Donald Trump blaming Ukraine for starting the three-year-old conflict with Moscow.
- Natural gas may trade on volatile path as it can move in range of 358-366.
