BULLIONS

  • India’s silver imports are expected to gather momentum in the coming months, supported by stronger investment and industrial demand that has already absorbed the surplus from last year’s elevated shipments.

BASE METALS

  • In base metal counter, Copper prices can trade on lower path as it can move in range of 908-916. Copper futures fell on Wednesday for a second straight session, weighed down by a stronger dollar and top consumer China’s slowing demand suppressed by elevated prices. Also, keeping prices under pressure was China’s domestic demand skewing to the downside as elevated prices have aroused a wait-and-see mode from downstream consumers that are price sensitive.
  • The imminent rate cut has triggered a wave of profit-taking activities, sending prices lower. The market has fully priced in Fed rate cuts of 75 basis points for the remainder of the year.
  • Additionally, Anglo American and Chile’s state-run Codelco have finalized an agreement to jointly operate their neighboring Chilean copper mines in a deal.
  • Aluminum prices can trade on mixed path as it may move in range of 257-262.while Zinc may move on volatile path as it may trade in range of 278-284.

ENERGY

  • Crude oil may trade with mixed path as it can move in range of 5600-5730. Oil prices held steady in early trading on Wednesday, after rising more than 1% in the previous session on drone attacks on Russian ports and refineries, while traders awaited an expected rate cut from the U.S. Federal Reserve.
  • Russia’s oil pipeline monopoly Transneft has warned producers they may have to cut output following Ukraine’s drone attacks on critical export ports and refineries.
  • Natural gas may move on mixed path as it can move in range of 267-279.
  • Investors are also awaiting the outcome of the Federal Reserve’s September 16–17 meeting, with a new governor, Stephen Miran, on leave from the Trump administration, joining the deliberations, and a second policymaker, Lisa Cook, still facing efforts by President Donald Trump to oust her.
