Report Overview

BULLIONS

  • Overall Gold (Dec) can move in range of 126000-128000 while Silver (Dec) also can move in range of 157000-164000.
  • Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said on Tuesday that the U.S. labour market remains subdued, though the economy “may be on a somewhat firmer trajectory than expected.”
  • Investors expect a 25-basis-point rate cut at the upcoming Fed meeting this month, with a similar reduction anticipated in December.
  • Trump said his administration planned to produce a list on Friday of “Democrat programs” that will be closed as a result of the federal government shutdown.

BASE METALS

  • In base metal counter, Copper (Oct) prices can trade on volatile path as it can move in range of 985-1010. Expectations of copper shortages due to supply disruptions in Indonesia, Chile and the Democratic Republic of Congo, prospects of U.S. interest rate cuts and a weaker dollar helped propel prices to a 16-month high at $11,000 a ton last week in the international market
  • Aluminum prices can trade on mixed path as it may move in range of 262-266.while Zinc may move on upside path as it may trade in range of 285-295.
  • Inventories on major exchanges are falling, making the market more sensitive to disruptions. The transition to green energy, rapid EV adoption, and infrastructure upgrades are boosting copper demand. China’s recent output contraction is reducing supply while demand remains resilient.

ENERGY

  • Crude oil may trade with mixed path as it can move in range of 5120-5270. Oil prices fell in early trade on Wednesday, extending losses from the previous session, as investors weighed the International Energy Agency’s warning of a supply surplus in 2026 and U.S.-China trade tensions that could hurt demand.
  • The International Energy Agency said on Tuesday the global oil market could face a surplus next year of as much as 4 million barrels per day, a bigger glut than it earlier expected, as OPEC+ producers and rivals raise output and demand remains sluggish.
  • Natural gas may move on subdued path as it can move in range of 262-274.
  • Trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies intensified last week after China announced a major expansion of rare earth export controls and President Donald Trump threatened to raise tariffs on Chinese goods to 100% and tighten software export curbs from Nov. 1.
