BULLIONS

  • Bullions counter may trade on volatile path as edged higher on Wednesday, supported by a weaker dollar after mild U.S. inflation data cemented bets for an interest rate cut in September, while investors focused on this week’s U.S.-Russia talks over the war in Ukraine.
  • Overall gold can move in range of 99600-101000 while silver also can move in range of 113000-115000. China’s central bank continued its gold-buying spree for the ninth straight month in July, lifting reserves to 73.96 million fine troy ounces, valued at $243.99 billion.
  • According to the World Gold Council, global gold demand, including OTC trading, rose 3% year-on-year in Q2 2025 to 1,248.8 metric tons, driven by a 78% surge in investment demand.
  • Bar demand climbed 21%, offsetting continued weakness in coins. Physically backed ETFs posted their strongest semi-annual inflows since early 2020.

BASE METALS

  • In base metal counter, Copper prices can trade on volatile path as it can move in range of 887-898. Robust demand growth from data centers is expected to accelerate a potential supply shortage in the global copper market in the second half of this decade, with the shortfall likely reaching 6 million tons by 2035
  • Aluminum prices can trade on stronger path as it may move in range of 250-256.while lead may also move in range of 178-183.
  • Copper demand from new data centers is set to average around 400,000 metric tons a year over the next decade and peak at 572,000 tons in 2028.

ENERGY

  • Crude oil may trade on mixed path as it can move in range of 5500-5650. Oil prices were little changed on Wednesday after falling in the previous session after an industry report showed U.S. crude stockpiles climbed last week illustrating the end of the seasonal summer demand period is nearing.
  • Crude inventories in the U.S., the world’s biggest oil consumer, rose by 1.52 million barrels last week, market sources said, citing American Petroleum Institute figures on Tuesday. The demand season typically runs from the Memorial Day holiday at the end of May to the Labor Day holiday in early September.
  • Natural gas may trade on mixed path as it can move in range of 240-255.
