BULLIONS

  • Overall Gold (Dec) can move in range of 121200-123500 while Silver (Dec) also can move in range of 147000-150000.
  • Federal Reserve officials agreed that risks to the U.S. job market had risen enough to warrant a rate cut, but remained cautious amid persistent inflation and debate over how much borrowing costs are weighing on the economy, minutes of the September 16–17 meeting showed on Wednesday.
  • Gold has climbed 54% year-to-date on strong central bank buying, increased demand for gold-backed Exchange-Traded Fund (ETFs), a weaker dollar and growing interest from retail investors seeking a hedge amid rising trade and geopolitical tensions.

BASE METALS

  • In base metal counter, Copper (Oct) prices can trade on firm path as it can move in range of 1000-1010. Copper surged to a 16-month high in London when Teck Resources (lowered its copper production guidance for 2025 after persistent setbacks at its Quebrada Blanca (QB) mine in Chile and Highland Valley Copper (HVC) operation in Canada.
  • So far this year, copper prices have risen about 23%, as mounting supply concerns outweigh weak demand in major industrial economies.
  • Supply worries intensified after Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE: FCX) declared force majeure at its Grasberg mine in Papua, Indonesia—the world’s second-largest copper operation—following severe flooding that halted production.
  • Aluminum prices can trade on mixed path as it may move in range of 263-268.while Zinc may move on upside path as it may trade in range of 293-297.

ENERGY

  • Crude oil may trade with volatile path as it can move in range of 5480-5580. Oil prices fell in early trade on Thursday after Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a plan to end the war in Gaza, weighing on oil’s war risk premium and pushing investors to sell.
  • U.S. President Donald Trump said that Israel and Hamas had reached a long-sought deal for a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release under a plan for ending the two-year-old war in the Palestinian enclave.
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would convene the government on Thursday to approve the ceasefire agreement.
  • The war in Gaza has supported oil prices as investors have weighed the potential risk to global oil supply if the war were to develop into a wider regional conflict.
