Economic Buzz: Thailand Q1 GDP Growth Weakest Since 2014

Thailand gross domestic product grew 2.8 percent year-on-year in the first quarter, after a 3.6 percent expansion logged in previous quarter, data from the National Economic and Social Development Council showed on Tuesday, largely on weaker foreign demand. This was the weakest growth since the fourth quarter of 2014, when GDP gained 2.4 percent. Quarter-on-quarter, the economy expanded 1 percent following a 0.9 percent rise in the fourth quarter.
